What is Solifenacin?
Solifenacin 5 mg or 10 mg is a medication prescribed to treat overactive bladder, where the bladder muscles contract uncontrollably causing frequent urination, urgency and bladder leaks. Solifenacin is a medication known as an anticholinergics and it relaxes the bladder muscles to prevent urgent, frequent, or uncontrolled urination.
In a recent clinical trial it was found to be more efficaceous in the treatment of some overactive bladder symptoms than Tolterodine.*
