What is the Kegel8 Ultra Plus Electronic Pelvic Toner and how does it work?
Kegel8 Ultra Plus Electronic Pelvic Toner is a ground-breaking Electro Muscle Stimulator (EMS) with clinically based programmes designed to strengthen and rehabilitate a weak pelvic floor. I'm 66 and have had 3 children - all natural births - the last one was very big. I knew I had a leakage problem and was already using the tight and tone but only occasionally. Then I went for a medical through my work and was diagnosed with a 2nd degree prolapse. My own GP has been less than helpful so I decided to carry on with the self help and seek advice from Kegel8. The staff were very helpful. I bought the ultra plus nearly 3 weeks ago on their advice. They have answered my questions and given me advice on how frequently I should use it and which programmes to use. I know I have to be patient - its only a few weeks since I started to use it, but I do feel I am making progress and it has given me real positive hope for the future. I have been using my Ultra plus for 3 weeks now, and feel I am starting to see real results. I have been diagnosed with a prolapsed bladder, the Doctor said he would organise some physio for me, four weeks later I have just received my appointment. I'm pleased that in the mean time I decided to do something about it myself after lot's of research, I came to the conclusion that the kegel8 would be an investment for my future. After the first week I felt as if thing's were on the up! But I had a bit of a relapse and thing's felt as bad as before. After a bit more reading I found out from the Kegel site that this is quite normal. My second scare was when I decided to use two different programs no.2 morning's and no.3 evening's. I think I may have had the setting to high on no.3 and when I removed the probe it had blood on it. I didn't use the machine next day and very cautiously used it the following day. I'm back to once a day. All is well. I can now some day's stop my wee mid flow, and don't feel as if I have something stuck inside me, bending and walking is easier now I almost feel normal again.Product Rating
I would say though the guide that comes with the Kegel is not very good a few more words on how the different programs actually feel would be helpful, also what may happen if you go to high in the MA's to quickly as the guide states " the higher the MA's the better the program will be" ( When I had my bleed I wasn't uncomfortable). Not everyone has access to a computer or is comfortable speaking on the phone to a stranger no matter how nice they are.
Finally I think it would be helpful if we could buy holiday size or even the sachets of lubricant, what with the strict weight restriction's on flight's these day's the bottles are quite heavy.
