If your pelvic floor muscles are very weak, it can sometimes be impossible to perform manual pelvic floor exercises. Male pelvic floor exercises can be made easy through the use of an electronic male pelvic toner. The electrical stimulation produced from the device can enhance the effect of pelvic floor muscle training, allowing your pelvic floor to grow stronger, quicker.

What is a Male Electronic Pelvic Floor Toner and How Does it Work?

Kegel8 V For Men Pelvic Toner

If you are exercising your pelvic floor manually and correctly, you are still only able to properly improve the strength of 40% of the pelvic floor muscles. In comparison, an electronic pelvic toner can reach 90% of your pelvic floor muscles.

Multiple clinical studies have proven the safety and efficacy of the NMES (neuromuscular electrical stimulation) that the Kegel8 range of electronic pelvic toners use to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. This painless electrical current stimulates the muscles to contract and relax in the optimum way to strengthen without risking the painful tightness that can be caused by over-exercising.

The Kegel8 V For Men Pelvic Toner comes with both an anal probe and skin electrodes, which are to be placed between your anus and your scrotum. Simply pick one of these methods and select the programme that best suits your needs to begin your exercise session.

A variety of programmes come with the Kegel8 V For Men Pelvic Toner to target different pelvic floor problems. These include targeting:

  • Urinary incontinence
  • Maintaining a healthy bowel movement
  • Achieving a satisfying erection
  • Improving pelvic floor strength
  • Pelvic pain
  • Combating premature ejaculation
  • And the space for your Physiotherapist to add customised programmes

How Often Should You Use an Electronic Male Pelvic Toner?

It is recommended that manual Kegel exercises should be performed for around 10-15 minutes, 3 times daily. However, with an electronic pelvic toner, the NMES does all of the work for you in one easy session per day. Once you have resolved any issues and have strengthened your muscles, a weekly maintenance programme is all you need to maintain the health of your pelvic floor.

What Are The Benefits of Using a Male Pelvic Floor Toner?

A strong pelvic floor is the key to control, continence, and improved sexual function. By using an electronic male pelvic toner, you can achieve:

  • Strong, healthy male pelvic floor muscles
  • Quick and easy results within just a 3 month course of treatment
  • Help with erectile dysfunction
  • Treatment of male incontinence
  • The ability to maintain an erection, and avoid premature ejaculation

Whilst manual pelvic floor exercises are effective in treating pelvic floor disorders, they can only work if you contract the correct muscles, and remember to do your exercises 3-6 times daily. With a pelvic floor toner, you are able to target the right muscles every time in a simple and efficient way. By running just one of the clinically designed programmes per day, you will be able to drastically strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, gain better bladder control, and improve your sexual life within 3-6 months.

When Can't You Use an Electronic Pelvic Toner?

An electronic pelvic toner is a perfectly safe device and used widely by athletes for rehabilitation, muscle testing and strengthening.

However, there are situations where you should refrain from using NMES without first consulting a medical professional. You may not be able to use NMES if:

  • You have a pacemaker - Check with your healthcare provider to see if it's safe to use NMES with your particular pacemaker.
  • You are currently receiving treatment for any form of pelvic cancer, unless you have been advised to do so by your healthcare provider.
  • You have had recent pelvic surgery (less than 12 weeks ago).
  • You have epilepsy.
  • There is any infection or tissue damage.
