Endocervical curettage

Endocervical curettage (ECC) or endocervical biopsy procedure is a surgical treatment in which a narrow instrument called a curette is used to scrape mucous membrane from the endocervical canal for analysis in a laboratory. This area cannot be seen from the outside of the cervix. The curette is a spoon-shaped instrument.
