Functional Incontinence

Functional incontinence is when a person does not recognise the usual signs that they need to urinate.  This can result in the sufferer not getting to the toilet in time or urinating in inappropriate places. Functional incontinence can result from many causes, including: dementia, neurological disease, poor mobility, bad eyesight etc.

Functional incontinence can be helped by functional voiding, - such as Timed voiding or prompted voiding.
