How to use a Contiform Vaginal Pessary
The Contiform Vaginal Pessary features a narrow channel on the smaller side. This is a normal design element that aids with fitting and ensures the pessary does not place excessive pressure on the bladder.
Position the pessary between your thumb and first two fingers and gently insert the tapered end into the vagina as far back as is comfortable for you. Make sure to wash it with warm water and perfume-free soap each time you take it out. Sometimes those with very weak pelvic muscles might find the pessary doesn’t stay in place. Consult a healthcare professional if this is the case.
To remove the Contiform with the removal ribbon in the New Users Kit, please pull the ribbon in a downward motion as if you are removing a tampon. Please do not pull the removal ribbon in an upwards motion as this may cause the ribbon to break.
