ProFem Cube Pessary with Drains for Prolapse
The ProFem Cube Prolapse Pessary with Drains is a medical-grade vaginal pessary designed to provide effective, non-surgical support for women experiencing moderate to severe pelvic organ prolapse. It is particularly suitable for the management of second or third-degree uterine prolapse, cystocele (bladder prolapse), and rectocele (bowel prolapse) where additional internal support is required.

Who is the ProFem Cube Pessary for?
- Women with a second or third-degree uterine prolapse, cystocele and rectocele
- Those seeking a non-surgical prolapse management option
- Women requiring secure pessary retention
- Suitable for self and clinical fitting
How the ProFem Cube Pessary Works
The unique cube-shaped design creates gentle suction against the vaginal walls, allowing the pessary to remain securely in place and provide reliable support throughout daily activities. This suction-based support makes the cube pessary especially effective for more advanced prolapse where traditional ring or dish pessaries may not offer sufficient retention. Integrated drainage holes help promote airflow and reduce moisture build-up, supporting vaginal comfort during wear.
How to use
- Apply a vaginal lubricant to help with insertion if desired
- Squeeze the cube at either side, with the tail pointing downwards
- Insert the pessary towards the cervix and release for it to reform into its origional shape
- It should sit above the pubic bone and below the cervix
Removal - Place two fingers around each side of the cube, and squeeze to break the suction. Then pull slowly and gently on the concave sides, and using the tail if necessary to guide out of the vagina.
How to clean - Clean regularly using mild soap and warm water, then rinse and dry thoroughly before reinserting.
How often do I need to remove the pessary?
Many women are able to self-manage the ProFem Cube Pessary once shown how by a healthcare professional. Others may prefer clinician support - both options are common. It is advised to remove your Cube Pessary daily, or at least overnight, to allow the vaginal tissues to rest and to reduce the risk of irritation. The pessary should be cleaned each time it is removed before reinsertion.
How do I select the correct size?
It is recommended that you seek advice from your healthcare provider before using this pessary to ensure the correct size is selected and that you receive guidance on safe and effective use. A healthcare professional can help confirm suitability, demonstrate insertion and removal, and advise on ongoing care to ensure comfort and optimal support.
