Contiform Vaginal Pessary for Stress Incontinence

I'm very active and play a lot of tennis in the summer. I was finding that I might leak when jumping and landing and was quietly horrified. I'd always prided myself on a strong pelvic floor. Fund this reviewed on a Mums Running site and it works a treat. I started with the small, but ideally my size if the medium - so should have got the sizing kit initially. It folds like a menstrual cup and inserts easily enough, I use the removal cord. I use a bit of gel for insertion and i know it is supposed to last about 1 month, but so far I have got 3 months out of my medium. I know I can get it it on prescription, but it is just as easy to order online than go through the faff with my GP. Will certainly continue to use this because it stops any leaks ABSOLUTELY!.

I've had the Contiform prescribed by my pelvic physio for 2 years and usually get it on NHS prescription. Suddenly it's supposedly no longer made yet I can buy it from Kegel8, thank god! It's perfect for my needs and I'm very grateful that Kegel8 still offer it, just annoyed I now have to buy it privately as my NHS practice don't have a contract with Kegel8 and don't seem interested in getting one. Thanks to Kegel8 for manufacturing this and doing their best to get it via the NHS.

Used this for years and has allowed me to continue sport without leaks. Thank you. I get it on prescription now occasionally issues with sourcing it for the pharmacy. The ribbon can irritate the vagina so I prefer not to use it.

Difficult to use, no improvement in symptoms, if anything made things worse, tried 2 sizes, both just as bad so not a size issue.

Even the small size is way too big.

Following information on how to use vaginal pessary trial pack on video, I found that the sizing and material were not comfortable to wear. So disappointed.

The cost of this thing, especially to have to buy the multi size pack for starters....I think I could probably really do with this for a horrible prolapse problem, but for the manufacturer and this retailer to capitalise on something so simple made out of a tiny amount of moulded silicon, no doubt made in China for peanuts, is a disgrace! I buy little things all the time made from silicon from for a couple of £s.... silicon is cheap!...Of course the response will be about the grade of silicon I'm sure, but we're not talking about the creation of a diamond from a bit of plastic, just a good grade of silicon. This is really money making out of poor women's suffering and their desire to be discreet about their problem. What an industry!!! How about some honest, properly priced kind support for our suffering, instead of capitalising out of us!!!

Tried it on my long runs and it didn’t stop my leaks at all. It was ok for day to day use but that’s not what I needed it for. Insertion was difficult as I was unsure if I’d got it in right the first few times.

I would not have spent £45 if I’d known that this product is only for “occasional use ! If you used it daily it only lasts 30 days then needs replacing @£45 a time , if you use occasionally it lasts a little longer, very disappointed with this product ! For women who are trying to function on a daily basis with bladder pain and incontinent issues the price is unrealistic.

I found insertion was difficult, not because of my anatomy but because the contiform is so rigid and thick. Squeezing it together at the same time as inserting was almost impossible with just a couple of fingers. I used the smallest of the three sizes. It worked to keep me dry but removal was just as difficult and must have caused damage as was blood stained. Not for me!

It gave me an infection after just one use .

Effective to stop leaks but Expensive, difficult to insert and already broken after 2 weeks

I've only been using this product for a few days but I have already noticed an improvement with my stress incontinence. I just hope this continues and I can ciugh; laugh; exercise and dance without worrying about leaking!

This product is awkward to insert, but gives hours of freedom playing sport.

I'm glad I read the reviews online as there weren't any instructions or advise sent with it.

My only regret is why I didn’t know about this product 20 years ago. Since having a hysterectomy at 43 I’ve experienced leakage for many years and gradually my self confidence has declined so much that I felt I couldn’t apply for a job or go for hearty walks any more and I dreaded social occasions. Well now my confidence is back and I am striding out with a spring in my step and no longer have to shuffle along slowly hoping to get to a loo ASAP. I can’t wait to go paddle boarding in Turkey next year and explore the national park without dreading embarrassing leaks.

After seeking medical advice and seeing a women’s health physiotherapist, she gave me pelvic floor muscles exercises to do and whilst I saw a slight improvement, my main leaks occurred whilst I was playing sport and also the three days before I started my period and so she suggested Contiform. I have to say for me is has been life changing, not only because I don’t leak but also the positive mental benefit this has had for me, so thank you!

Im in my early 40s and had been living with gradually worsening stress incontinence for over 8 yrs since the birth of my son.
I had been seeing a physio to help with pelvic floor strengthening and she recommended this product. It is simply life changing. I was told the medium one would be my size but it's the small size that is more comfortable for me. I am now dry and no more lurking around the incontinence pad aisle feeling embarrassed. I can exercise freely and go out for a drink without feeling stressed.
I have been offered surgery but now I'm using this product and trying a electronic kegel unit to tone my pelvic floor to see if can avoid it. This has been a life saver!

I bought the starter pack and soon found out that the small size was perfect, I also found that after a few weeks I could go without using the pessary every day, it seemed to have helped support my urethra and because of this I Found that it lasted nearly 8 weeks now wether this was luck I'VE yet to find out!
I am now using my second after one week.
I have been under a Urologist who I told about this product and how impressed I was with it and now he has Prescribed it for me so I am over the moon because it is expensive.
It is so wonderful to be able to go out with out worrying about being wet and uncomfortable.
I did find it a little strange at first but after a couple of days it was ok.

After having baby #1 I suffered with poor pelvic floor leading to light incontinence. It made it impossible to exercise however so when i was alerted to contiform it literally changed my life

Ordered the pack first. Both the small and medium work for me. I has given up on running after having my son as I hated leaking. This works! I can go running and come home completely dry. I hope it lasts as they are quite expensive. Ive used the small about 15 times and the crack (normal) has got bigger, but still ok for the moment. I will definately buy another whjen it finally breaks as it has changed my life, thank you!
