Your pelvic floor works hard every day — supporting your bladder, bowel, and pelvic organs through every cough, sneeze, laugh, and movement. When those muscles weaken through pregnancy, childbirth, hormonal changes, or age, the effects can be far-reaching: leaks, urgency, reduced sensation, and a loss of confidence that affects daily life.
KegelFlex Pelvic Floor Weights are a clinically proven, progressive training system that rebuilds pelvic floor strength from the inside out. Based on the long-established weighted vaginal cone system — one of the most researched pelvic floor training methods available — KegelFlex offers a simple, effective, evidence-based approach to pelvic floor rehabilitation.
And here is what makes them genuinely different from simply doing Kegel exercises: they work even when you're not actively trying.

The proprioceptive principle — exercise without exercising
When a KegelFlex cone is inserted, gravity naturally causes it to slip downward. Your pelvic floor muscles respond automatically — gripping and holding the cone in place through a natural reflex contraction. You don't have to consciously squeeze. Your body does it for you.
This is proprioceptive training — the muscles are responding to the presence of an object, building the reflex and the neural pathway that matters most for bladder control and continence. It is the same mechanism that makes pelvic floor cones so effective for women who struggle to isolate the right muscles during unassisted Kegel exercises. The cone teaches your body where to focus, and then does the training on your behalf.
Many women simply insert the cone and carry on with their morning routine — showering, drying their hair, making breakfast — while their pelvic floor trains itself. Just 15 to 20 minutes a day is all it takes.
What the clinical evidence shows
KegelFlex is based on the weighted vaginal cone system, one of the most extensively studied pelvic floor training methods in clinical literature. A systematic review by the Cochrane Library — the gold standard of clinical evidence — analysed 23 trials involving 1,806 women and concluded:
"Weighted vaginal cones are better than no active treatment in women with stress urinary incontinence and may be of similar effectiveness to pelvic floor muscle training and electrostimulation."
— Cochrane Library systematic review, CD002114
Additional clinical research confirms:
- 60–70% success rate for stress urinary incontinence after 8–12 weeks of consistent use
- Comparable to PFMT — clinical trials show weighted cones produce similar long-term improvements to standard pelvic floor muscle training and electrical stimulation
- Better than no treatment — PubMed systematic reviews confirm cones are significantly more effective for SUI than no active intervention
- Lasting results — studies on post-menopausal women show reductions in urinary leakage and improved muscle strength lasting up to 12 months post-treatment
- Improved compliance — because the cone provides immediate sensory feedback (if your technique is wrong, the cone slips), women find them easier to learn than unassisted Kegel exercises
How the progressive system works
KegelFlex includes two cone sizes and four internal weights, creating up to 15 training levels. This mirrors the principle of progressive overload used in resistance training — gradually increasing the challenge as your muscles get stronger.
- Start with the large cone, empty (no weights inserted). Insert and stand up.
- If you can hold it comfortably for 15–20 minutes, add the lightest weight inside the cone.
- Progress through the weight combinations as your strength increases.
- When you can hold the large cone with all weights for 15–20 minutes, transition to the smaller cone and begin again from the lightest weight.
As with any resistance training, your pelvic floor will fatigue. Progress steadily, rest when needed, and build a routine that fits your life.

A word from Kegel8
At Kegel8, pelvic floor health is what we do — and we have over 30 years of clinical experience to draw on. KegelFlex Pelvic Floor Weights are an excellent starting point for any woman beginning her pelvic floor journey, or returning to training after pregnancy or surgery. For women who want to take their training further, our Kegel8 Ultra 20 V2 uses clinically programmed NMES to activate the pelvic floor more deeply and across a wider range of conditions. Many women use both — cones for daily passive maintenance, NMES for structured clinical programmes.
Our team is always here to help you find the right approach for where you are right now.
