This prostate device is not really suitable for the purpose. It’s the wrong shape and will twist away from the prostate. It also failed after a few uses because the metal contacts had corroded. It might be better to get a rubber massager. Expensive mistake.
We're sorry to hear about your experience with the Maxhim Prostate Massager. It sounds like the product didn't meet your expectations in terms of shape and durability. We appreciate your feedback and would love to assist you. Please consider a rubber massager; it could offer the comfort and reliability you're seeking. Used this for pelvic pain, I was told that vibration relax the muscles and together with the down training kegels it gives pain relief. I have been told I have an enlarged prostate, and I waiting for a consultation, but the pelvic pain has been crippling, but a Physio said it wasn't necessarily the prostate causing the pain, more in the muscles.
I use this for crippling perineal pain. The vibration helps relax and I also use it for trigger point massage internally. The long design helps get the angle right in a difficult to get to area.
My physio recommended the prostate massager due to my overactive and tight pelvic floor. I'm not sure if it's going to help but I'm 19 and am willing to try anything at this point to improve my quality of life.
Its not something I would recommend because I would be too shy to admit using this, but after suffering with acute prostatitis for over 4 years now I am desperate and will try anything. It is hard plastic and it does afford some pain relief when used as a massager together with a heat pad. I thought of using a massager with infra red ability after reading about how successful they are, but i was unable to find a massager that would allow me to use it and the infra red lamp in on the perineum because of size etc. (they are all too big)
So, this was a compromise, but it does help together with heat pads and acupuncture.
