For new mothers — perineal care after birth
After a vaginal birth, midwives routinely recommend warm water cleansing of the perineum — the area between the vagina and the anus. Whether you have stitches from a tear or episiotomy, or simply need gentle relief from soreness and swelling, clean warm water applied with controlled, low pressure is one of the most effective and recommended forms of perineal care.
