Premature ejaculation affects around one in three men at some point in their lives. It is one of the most common male sexual health concerns — and one of the least talked about. The causes are often a combination of pelvic floor muscle tension, performance anxiety, and heightened sensitivity, rather than anything more complex.
Rui Shen Oil is a traditional herbal remedy, used for many years across East Asia, that addresses sensitivity and circulation topically — with no synthetic anaesthetics, no prescription, and no desensitising effect on your partner.
Premature ejaculation and the pelvic floor
Premature ejaculation is frequently linked to hypertonicity — excessive tension — in the pelvic floor muscles, combined with performance anxiety that creates a difficult cycle. Pelvic floor training for men can make a significant difference over time. Rui Shen Oil can be a useful short-term support while you work on longer-term pelvic floor control. If premature ejaculation is a persistent concern, speak with your GP or a pelvic health physiotherapist.
How Rui Shen Oil works
Rui Shen Oil works through three complementary mechanisms, delivered through its herbal formula:
| Mechanism | How it helps |
| Mild topical desensitisation | Gently reduces sensitivity at the point of application, without the numbing effect associated with synthetic anaesthetics such as benzocaine or lidocaine. |
| Improved circulation | Key ingredients support healthy blood flow to the area, which supports erectile function and sustained performance. |
| Nervous system calming | Certain ingredients have traditionally been used to reduce anxiety and nervous tension — addressing the psychological component of premature ejaculation as well as the physical. |
The formula — what's in it and why
Rui Shen Oil contains no benzocaine, lidocaine, or synthetic anaesthetics. Every ingredient is herbal, with roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine:
| Ingredient | Role |
| Radix Ginseng (30%) | The dominant ingredient. Panax ginseng is one of the most researched herbal ingredients in men's sexual health, with peer-reviewed evidence supporting its role in erectile function and sexual performance. |
| Cortex Cinnamomi (15%) | Cinnamon bark. Supports healthy circulation and blood flow — directly relevant to erectile function and sustained performance. |
| Rhizoma Polygonati (15%) | Siberian Solomon's Seal. Traditionally used to support vitality and stamina. Adaptogenic properties help the body manage physical stress. |
| Semen Ziziphi Spinosae (10%) | Sour Jujube seed. Traditionally used to calm the nervous system and reduce anxiety — addressing the psychological dimension of premature ejaculation. |
| Radix Angelicae Dahuricae (8%) | Traditionally used for its mild analgesic and circulation-supporting properties. The likely contributor to Rui Shen's gentle topical desensitising effect. |
| Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae (7%) | Dan Shen. Well-researched for cardiovascular circulation and healthy blood flow. |
| Rhizoma Atractylodis (7%) | Supports vitality and energy in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Adaptogenic. |
| Pure Water (8%) | Carrier base. |
How to use
Apply a small amount of Rui Shen Oil to the head of the penis before intimacy. Start with a few dabs — this is a concentrated formula and a little goes a long way. Allow a few minutes for the oil to absorb before proceeding.
There is no need to wash off before contact with a partner. The formula does not contain synthetic anaesthetics, so transfer of numbing agents to a partner is not a concern with normal use.
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical condition. If premature ejaculation is a persistent concern, consult your GP. Keep out of reach of children. This product is shipped within the UK only.
