What our customers say about the Biofeedback Pelvic Trainer With Extra Probe Free

Great, noticing the difference within a month of purchase. I'm not as scared to cough or sneeze any more! Will certainly keep it up.

I have had this product for 4 years now and while it has not completely cured the problem it has made a difference. I have had 3 children, forceps delivery and breast cancer treatment 12 years ago, all of which weaken your pelvic floor massively so I was told by the continence nurse. I still wear pads but not the heavy ones I use to have to wear and don't have to replace them during the day nor worry about embarrassing leaks when wearing light trousers or when I am out all day. I use the machine for 10 mins everyday and I am up to level 9. I have found that this product was better for me than he electronic vitality as the results were greater and it doesn't take as long. Also the probes seem to last ages . I like the little case handy for travel .

Ok I so I’ve had two children, had no major complaints about my pelvic tone, but I felt like it was getting ever so slightly slacker than it was. So I bought this mainly to see where I am as I had no idea. When I first did it on the 28/10 I got a 5 out of a possible 9. I was gutted! Anyway it turned out I’d been putting it in wrong...so when I finally did it right I got a 7. Which is about what I expected. Continued getting a 7 till 9/11 when I got an 8! Woo! Carried on and by the 14/11 I was on 9! Top score! So pleased! It really does work. Helps so much u can see it going up as you squeeze! I’ve also noticed my tummy is much flatter...! I’ve been doing it almost a month now (morning and night) and I’ll carry on for 12 weeks. I might drop it to three times a week then! Honestly, if you’re not sure about this, just go for it! So worth it! :-)

    Disappointing
    Review by Goodwife
Easy to use; just insert the probe and use the test mode as instructed to see your squueze score. Unfortunately this mode does not last very long as there is no setting to adjust. You can then turn the machine off and opt for the train mode and squeeze for as long as you wish with the help of a counter. Jumped a point in a week as I got used to the machine. But I will now purchase the most expensive all singing dancing Kegel8 as I am already bored with this basic one. Not worth £80. Spend the extra and get the £149.99 machine.

    a useful purchase
    Review by ginny
Having been told that I have a score of 1 to 2 regarding pelvic floor tone and that I need to do pelvic floor exercises which may prevent me from needing surgery.. I decided I needed help with motivation . Bought kegel8 after a lot of searching various sites and kept returning to this one.I was worried that after a few days would remain unused after initial enthusiasm wore off and be a waste of money .Well packaged and clear instructions.Had a problem with turning off the sound when holding the monitor by pressing with thumb each time.Possibly a design fault.Soon got the hang of it though.Easy to use and managed to score 3 to start with and 12 weeks later 4 to 5.Good thing is that I use it with the NHS app so I am getting into a good routine. (I don't use it whilst shopping though:) It does seem a lot of money for what it is but saying that I would recommend buying the best model you can afford as pelvic floor exercises are for life!It is a great feeling when the score starts to go up and then stay there.Very rewarding.Hope this helps your decision

    Pelvic trainer biofeedback
    Review by Lyndall
Quite disappointed. Have been using the kegal ultra 20 for months as well as doing manual kegal exercises. Decided to buy the biofeedback to see how I was tracking and only scored a 2. Can't believe after all this time using kegal ultra 20 that biofeedback hardly registered. Found doing the kegal exercises with pelvic trainer quite difficult to get much of a reaction, became discouraged and gave the whole thing away.

I have only been using this for a few weeks but it has already made a difference. I prefer to use the training mode as I find the feedback about the level I have reached very useful.

    Kegel trainer probe
    Review by Annette
I am stuck at 3, occasionally only 2, with one high of 4 yesterday. However I don't even know which way to insert the probe. Is it upwards or downwards? I usually insert it downwards. It is difficult to do the exercises without tensing the tummy and also difficult to breathe normally.
The machine often seems to get stuck and does not give readings every time. I am wondering if the high of 4 yesterday was a real score or just a fault.
I use it only every second or third day as I am still waiting for the Kegel 8 Ultra to produce an improvement and that is going faulty now. Frankly I don't think I have really noticed an improvement although I use the Kegel 8 Ultra at least once a day.

    Dear Annette
The Kegel8 Trainer probe should be inserted in upwards. You don't say how long you have been exercising, but please remember cell growth and strengthening takes at least 30 days (cell renewal) so it will take time. What you will find is that as you improve and the circulation is improved you will get stronger and improve your muscle control.
Have a look at these other top tips for strengthening your pelvic floor r- they will support the work you are currently doing on strengthening your muscles http://www.kegel8.co.uk/blog/2014/03/10/the-4-best-kept-secrets-to-keeping-your-pelvic-floor-strong/

    Works well
    Review by Sara
Works well with isolating the pelvic floor: before this I had been using some of the wrong muscles, even though I had been instructed by a physical therapist. However, it seems I am stuck at a certain level right now.

Experience to date of the Trainer
    Review by JD
I am nearly 68 years old and have been very aware latterly that I need to strengthen my PF muscles. When I want to go, I really want to go ........

This is early days for a review, as I have only been using this Trainer for a very short time. I also have the Ultra 20, which I got first. Not noticed any improvement specifically yet, but am wondering how often to use the trainer in conjunction to the Ultra 20.

I have to use jelly for insertion, but have noticed the Trainer probe slips out if not held in place, but also that it seems to be depend on where it sits or what position I am in as to the results, which range from the 70's right up to 100. I find it easier to use when I am propped up in bed. Holding the squeeze at one level is not possible yet, but I will persevere as I definitely want to improve my PF and not have major problems in a few years.

    pelvic trainer
    Review by scotty
bought this in the black Friday sale. haven't had a chance to use until now as have been busy with a family illness. very disappointed. the machine just keeps switching itself off. I have tried taking out, squeezing the air out of probe and reinserting. this still does nothing. screen shows it is starting to inflate, gets to 2 x bars and then switches itself off. I can't even get a chance to choose any programs. I am hoping this is a faulty machine and will be replaced.

    Frequently asked questions

I can’t decide if the Pelvic Trainer or the Kegel8 Ultra 20 is right for me.

This Pelvic Trainer helps you perform accurate independent pelvic floor muscle exercises, by audibly guiding you to squeeze and relax. It also measures muscle strength, which is Ideal if you have OK muscle tone, and you want to improve either the strength of the squeeze and/or endurance (length) of the muscle squeeze. The Ultra 20 does the work for you, using e-stim impulses to make weak muscles work and rest. If you struggle to perform an independent Kegel squeeze or have lots of leaks and trouble keeping a tampon in place, we recommend you opt for e-stim assisted pelvic floor exercises.

Can I use the Pelvic Trainer while pregnant?

It is not recommended to use any Kegel8 medical pelvic toners vaginally while pregnant unless under medical supervision, that includes this Pelvic Muscle Trainer.

    What does biofeedback mean?

Biofeedback refers to the fact that this pelvic toner responds to you moving your muscles and contracting your pelvic floor, measures it, and 'feeds back' the information to you on screen. This is an invaluable way to strengthen pelvic floor muscles and help you monitor your progress. Follow the ‘Squeeze Scale’ to improve two aspects of pelvic floor weakness - 1. The strength of your squeeze and 2. Endurance - this is how long you can hold the squeeze before your muscles gets tired. Measuring both areas - how hard you squeeze and how long you hold the squeeze is displayed on the screen in real time so you can record your progress.

Is the probe hard or soft?

The probe has a soft exterior, which is made from body friendly silicone. Inside is pressurised with air so treat it gently - don’t over squeeze it in your hands! When inserted vaginally, you squeeze your muscles as you would when performing Kegel exercises and it measures the force you use, recording it on the screen as a number from 1 - 10. This helps you get the best results, from fast Kegels to slow Kegels, and rebuild strong pelvic floor muscles in a matter of weeks. There’s a page to record your progress and when you see it in black and white you’ll be amazed how quickly your muscles have ‘come back to life’.

I have a Mirena coil (or other IUD) – can I use this?

Yes! An IUD inserted in the uterus is a highly effective form of birth control. T Shaped plastic IUD’s, Mirena, Skyla, Liletta, and Kyleena, and the non-hormonal copper coil ParaGard T-380A can all be used safely when using the Kegel8 Pelvic Trainer.
