VAT Exemption provides a valuable benefit for individuals who are chronically sick or disabled. It allows them to purchase eligible items at a 0% VAT rate, thus reducing the cost of these essential items. The process of claiming VAT exemption is made simple, especially when shopping online, as our online store is designed to facilitate the process with a series of straightforward questions that can be answered in the comfort of one’s own home.
Eligibility for VAT Relief
The government has outlined the criteria for eligibility for VAT relief, which include:
Charities that provide their charity number. Individuals who are considered “chronically sick or disabled” as defined by:
Having a physical or mental impairment that has a long-term and substantial impact on their ability to carry out everyday activities.
Having a condition that is medically treated as a chronic sickness, such as diabetes.
Being terminally ill.
It’s important to note that VAT exemption does NOT apply to individuals who are only temporarily disabled or incapacitated, such as those with a broken limb, or frail elderly persons who are otherwise able-bodied.
Proof of Disability
In order to be exempt from VAT, the government requires a simple declaration of the nature of one’s disability at the time of ordering. No proof of the disability needs to be provided to any party. All that is required is the name, address, and disability of the person the item is for, as well as information about their chronic sickness or disability.
Eligible Items
VAT Exemption is only applicable to certain items that have been designed specifically for use by individuals who are chronically sick or disabled. These items include, but are not limited to: bathing aids, mobility aids, toileting aids, continence products, and other daily living aids.
Biofeedback helps you understand and feel your pelvic floor exercises. When inserted, the probe will inflate to a comfortable level, then you’ll be guided through a series of Kegel exercises, squeezing against the probe. You’ll perfect fast and slow Kegels and soon understand more about your muscles and how to strengthen them. Listening to the (optional) voice commands and watching the screen is easy as you squeeze against the probe, and it measures your progress. You won’t cheat because the exercises are timed so that, in just a few minutes each day, you’ll be amazed at how quickly you start to feel the difference. Record your progress in the Squeeze Scale Diary; it’s a great way to keep motivated and monitor your success.
Effective pelvic floor exercises using biofeedback will help the muscles to grow thicker and stronger, improving blood flow, nerve sensitivity, lubrication, and reactivity.
If you have been suffering vaginal “looseness” and a lack of sensation, chances are they are linked to the pelvic floor weakness. Women’s sexual pleasure comes from the rubbing and buildup of friction against the vaginal walls. The vaginal walls at the base and the sides are layered with pelvic floor muscles - building strength and “tone” (firmness) will make it feel tight to you and your partner. This ensures the pleasure nerve endings are activated and you can grip your partner (for more pleasure for both of you). Measuring your squeeze scale will really help you improve sensation and build stronger pelvic floor strength.
The Pelvic Trainer is contraindicated for uterine prolapse. That’s because you might not be able to insert the probe in far enough to perform the exercises properly. If you have a pelvic organ prolapse, we recommend e-stim with the Kegel8 Ultra 20 v2 - the gold glide probe fits perfectly and the Physio led programmes will help you manage the symptoms effortlessly.
The Pelvic Trainer is designed for the treatment of stress incontinence. This refers to leakage when the bladder is under pressure, for example from coughing, sneezing, laughing, or urge incontinence - when you have an accident before you reach the toilet.
By strengthening your pelvic floor muscles, the contracting and releasing helps to improve blood flow, build muscle and, more importantly, restore bladder control. It’s not just your bladder that will improve; bowels and sexual sensation will also benefit, and you’ll be more in touch with your muscles. So, if you do need to ‘hold on’ to pee, you have the muscle structure to do absolutely that!
Peri and Menopause is a 5–10-year phase of gradually changing hormones. For those with bladder or bowel control issues, heaviness in the pelvic area and reduced intimate sensation, pelvic floor strengthening with the Pelvic Trainer will really help. Not only will this help to address bladder leaks and lack of sensation, but it also protects your pelvic floor against further menopausal deterioration, especially muscle atrophy. Stronger pelvic floor muscles give more support and could help to prevent prolapse.
What our customers say about the Biofeedback Pelvic Trainer With Extra Probe Free
Great, noticing the difference within a month of purchase. I'm not as scared to cough or sneeze any more! Will certainly keep it up.

I have had this product for 4 years now and while it has not completely cured the problem it has made a difference. I have had 3 children, forceps delivery and breast cancer treatment 12 years ago, all of which weaken your pelvic floor massively so I was told by the continence nurse. I still wear pads but not the heavy ones I use to have to wear and don't have to replace them during the day nor worry about embarrassing leaks when wearing light trousers or when I am out all day. I use the machine for 10 mins everyday and I am up to level 9. I have found that this product was better for me than he electronic vitality as the results were greater and it doesn't take as long. Also the probes seem to last ages . I like the little case handy for travel .

Ok I so I’ve had two children, had no major complaints about my pelvic tone, but I felt like it was getting ever so slightly slacker than it was. So I bought this mainly to see where I am as I had no idea. When I first did it on the 28/10 I got a 5 out of a possible 9. I was gutted! Anyway it turned out I’d been putting it in wrong...so when I finally did it right I got a 7. Which is about what I expected. Continued getting a 7 till 9/11 when I got an 8! Woo! Carried on and by the 14/11 I was on 9! Top score! So pleased! It really does work. Helps so much u can see it going up as you squeeze! I’ve also noticed my tummy is much flatter...! I’ve been doing it almost a month now (morning and night) and I’ll carry on for 12 weeks. I might drop it to three times a week then! Honestly, if you’re not sure about this, just go for it! So worth it! :-)

Frequently asked questions
I can’t decide if the Pelvic Trainer or the Kegel8 Ultra 20 is right for me.
This Pelvic Trainer helps you perform accurate independent pelvic floor muscle exercises, by audibly guiding you to squeeze and relax. It also measures muscle strength, which is Ideal if you have OK muscle tone, and you want to improve either the strength of the squeeze and/or endurance (length) of the muscle squeeze. The Ultra 20 does the work for you, using e-stim impulses to make weak muscles work and rest. If you struggle to perform an independent Kegel squeeze or have lots of leaks and trouble keeping a tampon in place, we recommend you opt for e-stim assisted pelvic floor exercises.
Can I use the Pelvic Trainer while pregnant?
It is not recommended to use any Kegel8 medical pelvic toners vaginally while pregnant unless under medical supervision, that includes this Pelvic Muscle Trainer.
What does biofeedback mean?
Biofeedback refers to the fact that this pelvic toner responds to you moving your muscles and contracting your pelvic floor, measures it, and 'feeds back' the information to you on screen. This is an invaluable way to strengthen pelvic floor muscles and help you monitor your progress. Follow the ‘Squeeze Scale’ to improve two aspects of pelvic floor weakness - 1. The strength of your squeeze and 2. Endurance - this is how long you can hold the squeeze before your muscles gets tired. Measuring both areas - how hard you squeeze and how long you hold the squeeze is displayed on the screen in real time so you can record your progress.
Is the probe hard or soft?
The probe has a soft exterior, which is made from body friendly silicone. Inside is pressurised with air so treat it gently - don’t over squeeze it in your hands! When inserted vaginally, you squeeze your muscles as you would when performing Kegel exercises and it measures the force you use, recording it on the screen as a number from 1 - 10. This helps you get the best results, from fast Kegels to slow Kegels, and rebuild strong pelvic floor muscles in a matter of weeks. There’s a page to record your progress and when you see it in black and white you’ll be amazed how quickly your muscles have ‘come back to life’.
I have a Mirena coil (or other IUD) – can I use this?
Yes! An IUD inserted in the uterus is a highly effective form of birth control. T Shaped plastic IUD’s, Mirena, Skyla, Liletta, and Kyleena, and the non-hormonal copper coil ParaGard T-380A can all be used safely when using the Kegel8 Pelvic Trainer.
