VAT Exemption provides a valuable benefit for individuals who are chronically sick or disabled. It allows them to purchase eligible items at a 0% VAT rate, thus reducing the cost of these essential items. The process of claiming VAT exemption is made simple, especially when shopping online, as our online store is designed to facilitate the process with a series of straightforward questions that can be answered in the comfort of one’s own home.
Eligibility for VAT Relief
The government has outlined the criteria for eligibility for VAT relief, which include:
Charities that provide their charity number. Individuals who are considered “chronically sick or disabled” as defined by:
Having a physical or mental impairment that has a long-term and substantial impact on their ability to carry out everyday activities.
Having a condition that is medically treated as a chronic sickness, such as diabetes.
Being terminally ill.
It’s important to note that VAT exemption does NOT apply to individuals who are only temporarily disabled or incapacitated, such as those with a broken limb, or frail elderly persons who are otherwise able-bodied.
Proof of Disability
In order to be exempt from VAT, the government requires a simple declaration of the nature of one’s disability at the time of ordering. No proof of the disability needs to be provided to any party. All that is required is the name, address, and disability of the person the item is for, as well as information about their chronic sickness or disability.
VAT Exemption is only applicable to certain items that have been designed specifically for use by individuals who are chronically sick or disabled. These items include, but are not limited to: bathing aids, mobility aids, toileting aids, continence products, and other daily living aids.
Biofeedback helps you understand and feel your pelvic floor exercises. When inserted, the probe will inflate to a comfortable level, then you’ll be guided through a series of Kegel exercises, squeezing against the probe. You’ll perfect fast and slow Kegels and soon understand more about your muscles and how to strengthen them. Listening to the (optional) voice commands and watching the screen is easy as you squeeze against the probe, and it measures your progress. You won’t cheat because the exercises are timed so that, in just a few minutes each day, you’ll be amazed at how quickly you start to feel the difference. Record your progress in the Squeeze Scale Diary; it’s a great way to keep motivated and monitor your success.
Effective pelvic floor exercises using biofeedback will help the muscles to grow thicker and stronger, improving blood flow, nerve sensitivity, lubrication, and reactivity.
If you have been suffering vaginal “looseness” and a lack of sensation, chances are they are linked to the pelvic floor weakness. Women’s sexual pleasure comes from the rubbing and buildup of friction against the vaginal walls. The vaginal walls at the base and the sides are layered with pelvic floor muscles - building strength and “tone” (firmness) will make it feel tight to you and your partner. This ensures the pleasure nerve endings are activated and you can grip your partner (for more pleasure for both of you). Measuring your squeeze scale will really help you improve sensation and build stronger pelvic floor strength.
The Pelvic Trainer is contraindicated for uterine prolapse. That’s because you might not be able to insert the probe in far enough to perform the exercises properly. If you have a pelvic organ prolapse, we recommend e-stim with the Kegel8 Ultra 20 v2 - the gold glide probe fits perfectly and the Physio led programmes will help you manage the symptoms effortlessly.
The Pelvic Trainer is designed for the treatment of stress incontinence. This refers to leakage when the bladder is under pressure, for example from coughing, sneezing, laughing, or urge incontinence - when you have an accident before you reach the toilet.
By strengthening your pelvic floor muscles, the contracting and releasing helps to improve blood flow, build muscle and, more importantly, restore bladder control. It’s not just your bladder that will improve; bowels and sexual sensation will also benefit, and you’ll be more in touch with your muscles. So, if you do need to ‘hold on’ to pee, you have the muscle structure to do absolutely that!
Peri and Menopause is a 5–10-year phase of gradually changing hormones. For those with bladder or bowel control issues, heaviness in the pelvic area and reduced intimate sensation, pelvic floor strengthening with the Pelvic Trainer will really help. Not only will this help to address bladder leaks and lack of sensation, but it also protects your pelvic floor against further menopausal deterioration, especially muscle atrophy. Stronger pelvic floor muscles give more support and could help to prevent prolapse.
What our customers say about the Biofeedback Pelvic Trainer With Extra Probe Free
Great, noticing the difference within a month of purchase. I'm not as scared to cough or sneeze any more! Will certainly keep it up.
I have had this product for 4 years now and while it has not completely cured the problem it has made a difference. I have had 3 children, forceps delivery and breast cancer treatment 12 years ago, all of which weaken your pelvic floor massively so I was told by the continence nurse. I still wear pads but not the heavy ones I use to have to wear and don't have to replace them during the day nor worry about embarrassing leaks when wearing light trousers or when I am out all day. I use the machine for 10 mins everyday and I am up to level 9. I have found that this product was better for me than he electronic vitality as the results were greater and it doesn't take as long. Also the probes seem to last ages . I like the little case handy for travel .
Ok I so I’ve had two children, had no major complaints about my pelvic tone, but I felt like it was getting ever so slightly slacker than it was. So I bought this mainly to see where I am as I had no idea. When I first did it on the 28/10 I got a 5 out of a possible 9. I was gutted! Anyway it turned out I’d been putting it in wrong...so when I finally did it right I got a 7. Which is about what I expected. Continued getting a 7 till 9/11 when I got an 8! Woo! Carried on and by the 14/11 I was on 9! Top score! So pleased! It really does work. Helps so much u can see it going up as you squeeze! I’ve also noticed my tummy is much flatter...! I’ve been doing it almost a month now (morning and night) and I’ll carry on for 12 weeks. I might drop it to three times a week then! Honestly, if you’re not sure about this, just go for it! So worth it! :-)

How it works
With your sessions your toner will help you find your pelvic floor muscles
You'll start to feel a real difference. More control, less leaks, more confidence
Your pelvic floor is strong and you're living life without leaks and sudden urges!
I love this product. The exercise session lasts ten minutes and obviously needs a bit of privacy which can be difficult to find but worth it. I find that if I am unable to get the second daily session in the I am able to use the techniques it has taught me wherever I happen to be; in a queue, the car wherever! After only a week I can feel a difference I thoroughly recommend the product. The only thing that would improve it was if there was an optional switch to allow the backlight to stay on during exercises.
I think this is great and highly recommend it.
Bought this after I saw it on This Morning with Dr Chris Steel, it is great. I knew i wasn't as strong and in control as I used to be, and this seemed to speak to me! I have used it for about 4 days so far and it is great. It tells me how strong I am and it talks me though my exercise. It takes about 10 minds and I am doing it morning and night. It is amazing that I think I have been squeezing the wrong muscles - it wasn't until the probe is in place that I realised how to use the correct muscles.
I think this is great and highly recommend it.
Good but could be better
I've been using this unit for a few weeks now and always knew I have pelvic floor muscle problems, I've had stress incontinence most of my life, op solved the issues, also had rectocele some years ago and still have issues. I have had biofeedback in the past at the physio's. This unit is good for the money, it does encourage you to do the work yourself, but I don't think the gauge is that accurate as when I don't squeeze and it tells me to it's already on 2 bars. The voice is good, but unit would be much better if you could adjust the volume up/down or even uses earphones, I have to put the radio on so my son in the next room can't hear it and question me, had a panic when the phone rang with a business call (how do you explain that one!). You can turn the volume off completely, but then you have to watch the unit to squeeze and relax the correct times.
It does only take 10 minutes to run through the program and I would recommend doing it sitting upright in a chair, I tried the first time propped up in bed but the probe kept coming out.
Also check the batteries that come in the pack as one of them that came with mine was leaking, print came off on my hand, didn't realise it was leaking until the unit stopped working after 2 uses and it had leaked inside, once cleaned out and new batteries it worked ok.
Lastly I have a nickel allergy and this unit is completely nickel free so a very good alternative to the pelvic toners.
Faulty product and bad customer service
The screen keeps switching off which is intensely irritating. Having originally told me that the machine was faulty and asked me to send it back, they then denied that it was and refused a refund. I am pursuing the matter with trading standards/CAB.
Harder than it looks - but worth the effort
Review byL Smith
I found this really hard to get a reading which quietly horrified me. I have now got it to a reasonable level after 3 months of use, but be warned this is not easy. It takes real effort. I was diagnosed with a mild prolapse and I feel it has benefited me. I would recommend it to other women in a similar situation - I an desperate to avoid a hysterectomy (my mum had one at 34 and always regretted it). I am also waiting for the anal probe to come into stock, because I will use it anally as well as my prolapse is rectal and my Physiotherapist said that will also help me. My Physiotherapist said this was the best machine for me because it gives bio-feedback and tells me how I am progressing. If I didn't have his I would have no indication of the strength of my pelvic floor muscles - possibly until it is too late.
On the whole great customer service, would have given 5 stars but have had to wait for my anal probe to come into stock so I have marked them down:(
Kegel8 Says: Thank you for your kind feedback about the Kegel8 Trainer - I am sorry that the anal probe is as yet still unavailable. We can now confirm that the manufacturer has this on the production lines and we expect delivery within 12 - 16 weeks, we will expedite your order as soon as possible.
Brilliant - wouldn't be without my 'Kegel Kit'
This is an amazing bit of kit. I have been using the Kegel Ultra and was keen to see how I was doing using the Pelvic Trainer. I am thrilled to bits with the results, as is my partner. This regime is part of my everyday life now and has been a real success. I have no intention of finishing, I will carry on until I am at 10 and maintaining it.
Keep at it
I nearly gave up on this, I found it hard to move, infact I could hardly squeeze enough to get the scale to register and I had to get a replacement probe. But...I did it and I am an absolute convert. This is a must-have piece of exercise equipment. I cannot explain the difference I feel, and I find it hard to believe that my pelvic floor had become so redundant, it was as if it was no longer part of my body. Progress was slow but it has been years worth of neglect and i have no one else to blame. I use this twice a day without fail and i am now at level 4 and improving. I would buy this again and recommend this to others in a similar position.
good for a first time
I suppose if i had started with the pelvic trainer when i first got diagnosed with a prolapse i would have been pleased with it , but as i have been using the kegel8 ultra for well over a year it seams to be to much trouble at the end of a buzy day to do the exercises (where as with the Ultra you can just go to bed and read your book while it does the exercises for you !!)
I wish i had not spent all that money and done the extra kegel exercises my self ! but it did give me a strength reading , so when you start slacking with the exercise it does remind you you need to work at it !!!
overall you need peace and quite to concentrate when using the Trainer and you can not use it without the sound because the light keeps going off (to conserve battery life), and im sure my husband would get fed up with it .......
It actually works...i have my life back
I have used this kegal 8 trainer for 5 days now, just after the second day i noticed signifacnt improvements. i am so excited because i was losing hope because i am 6 weeks post surgery from having mesh removed due to mesh erosion. I wished someone had introduced me to this device prior to having my surgery 6 years ago and 5 operations later to remove my mesh. This is a genuine product a must to use before making a mistake like a did. I advocate for No mesh, go for this first and follow the program.
Anyway, past is past and i am very pleased to have found this product. I have found the instructions very easy to follow and the talk back guidance keeps me focused to finish my sets properly. Before i would sometimes do more or less which didn't help me at all....There are many positive points to make about this machine.
1 It keeps you on track and focus you to stay with a routine
2. Easy to use with voice overall and on screen prompts
3 Natural use of your own muscles.
4 Easy to pack for going away trips.
5 Options to test each week to view progress.
6 You pump air to suit your own size .
7 Easy to clean
* and It actually works .
it is so good i am purchasing another one for my sister because like many women she has a small issue that unattended could get worse...i recommend this product with a 10 out of 10 results. Thank You Linda.
I was given one of these as a sample prior to the UK launch, I am a freelance journalist working in the health sector. I am writing a piece on it for a major publication but I wanted to say that this is brilliant. After the birth of my second child last year I suffered terribly with unwanted leaks and mishaps. I was certainly slower to recover after my last pregnancy and this has been a concern to me. I received this Trainer and duly tested it, finding my strength test recorded (Squeeze scale they call it) a paltry 2. I have so far exercised for 2 weeks twice a day and I am already up to 4 so I am delighted to know that I am getting stronger. Better too is that I have not worn a pad in the last week, and DB noticed too and we're a bit like Teenagers again. Who'd have thought it.

Frequently asked questions
I can’t decide if the Pelvic Trainer or the Kegel8 Ultra 20 is right for me.
This Pelvic Trainer helps you perform accurate independent pelvic floor muscle exercises, by audibly guiding you to squeeze and relax. It also measures muscle strength, which is Ideal if you have OK muscle tone, and you want to improve either the strength of the squeeze and/or endurance (length) of the muscle squeeze. The Ultra 20 does the work for you, using e-stim impulses to make weak muscles work and rest. If you struggle to perform an independent Kegel squeeze or have lots of leaks and trouble keeping a tampon in place, we recommend you opt for e-stim assisted pelvic floor exercises.
Can I use the Pelvic Trainer while pregnant?
It is not recommended to use any Kegel8 medical pelvic toners vaginally while pregnant unless under medical supervision, that includes this Pelvic Muscle Trainer.
What does biofeedback mean?
Biofeedback refers to the fact that this pelvic toner responds to you moving your muscles and contracting your pelvic floor, measures it, and 'feeds back' the information to you on screen. This is an invaluable way to strengthen pelvic floor muscles and help you monitor your progress. Follow the ‘Squeeze Scale’ to improve two aspects of pelvic floor weakness - 1. The strength of your squeeze and 2. Endurance - this is how long you can hold the squeeze before your muscles gets tired. Measuring both areas - how hard you squeeze and how long you hold the squeeze is displayed on the screen in real time so you can record your progress.
Is the probe hard or soft?
The probe has a soft exterior, which is made from body friendly silicone. Inside is pressurised with air so treat it gently - don’t over squeeze it in your hands! When inserted vaginally, you squeeze your muscles as you would when performing Kegel exercises and it measures the force you use, recording it on the screen as a number from 1 - 10. This helps you get the best results, from fast Kegels to slow Kegels, and rebuild strong pelvic floor muscles in a matter of weeks. There’s a page to record your progress and when you see it in black and white you’ll be amazed how quickly your muscles have ‘come back to life’.
I have a Mirena coil (or other IUD) – can I use this?
Yes! An IUD inserted in the uterus is a highly effective form of birth control. T Shaped plastic IUD’s, Mirena, Skyla, Liletta, and Kyleena, and the non-hormonal copper coil ParaGard T-380A can all be used safely when using the Kegel8 Pelvic Trainer.
