I've used this probe for about one year now. It's a powerful little probe but the things I don't like about it are 1). It is challenging to *always* get it in the correct position (so that it does that *flutter, flutter, flutter* feel thing); and 2) as your *squeeze* strengthens, it is very difficult to keep the probe in the proper position...it turns/spins. When this happens, I have to stop the programme, reposition the probe, and restart the programme. Not only is this an inconvenience, it is also time-consuming. My time is *very* dear and it's a pain to have to reposition and restart. I have ordered two additional probes with more of a phallic/straight shape. I hope they are just as powerful and work just as well (or better). Overall though, I *am* pleased with this probe AND the device.

The probe is one of our most popular probe, however the fitting and suitability of the probes vary from customer to customer which is why we offer a range of different style and shapes.

Try using less gel (you only need a tiny amount of gel just to lightly cover the metal parts of the probe) and lying down flat with either your legs crossed or a pillow under your bum.

I have used the Kegel 8 Gold probe now for 10 weeks. It often seems to tilt but I thought my prolapse was the cause. I have found that the pulses are not as strong as when I first used the probe so something isn't quite right with it. I have also used two kegel batteries in the 10 weeks and now I am using one of my own. I wonder if the batteries are the problem? I dont think it will cure the prolapse as I still need to wear protection mainly to keep my prolapse up inside my body, however I am able to get to the toilet without mishap. My honest opinion is I don't know. It was expensive so I will carry on with it, I can only use it lying down or it falls out, but it was better than doing nothing and I hope it will help me avoid surgery.

10 weeks is very early in some case to see results but I can see they are already coming through as your urgency is improving.

Prolapses are very complex and can take time to improve but in the majority of customers do avoid surgery and see a significant improvement, given time so please persist with your exercise.

In regards to the probe not every user can use the kegel standing or sitting. Its common for users especially to begin with and with a prolapse to have to lie down whilst exercising. Once your pelvic floor starts to strengthen you may be able to change your position. However in the meantime, lying down is probably the best for you and try putting a pillow under your bum to tilt the prolapse backwards will also help. This will help prevent the prolapse from pushing on the probe and to make the exercise more comfortable.

You should be using gel but only a tiny tear drop amount just on the metal parts of the probe. Too much gel can cause the probe to slip out of place but a little helps with connectivity and helps makes the exercise more effective.

The sensation weakening is normal and is a sign your muscles are building up a tolerance to the stimulation / getting use to the kegel exercise. As you go you will find that you can increase the mA level higher and higher. This is normal and is a good sign (not a sign there is an issue). Some users will find they can only get upto a certain level, others will find they build up to 90 quite quickly. Neither is right as the mA level varies from person to person and should be set so they are strong but not uncomfortable.

The probe is light and so easy and comfortable to use. It fits well and I can still move without fear of it slipping out. I would have liked the connections to be a bit more flexible.

Really happy with my new probe, it works much better than the previous one.

This probe is extremely comfortable to use and easy to clean.

Returned faulty probe to be replaced, had a few slight problems with adding to the order but after a few phone calls this was sorted out to my satisfaction. Think the Kegal probe and leg electrodes are helping slightly with my problem of nocturia but not yet seen brilliant improvement like some reviewers state. Have been using for ten months now so forever hopeful.

I had the same problem, worked well for a while even whilst walking around the house, then kept stopping and flashing ‘0’ I had to hold it in place and could not move. I thought there was probably a loose connection. I rang customer services, did the glass test ( it stopped and flashed ‘0’ ) was told there was nothing wrong with the probe. I gave up using it for months and felt I had wasted my money. I recently tried it again and still the same so I reluctantly ordered a new probe, and guess what it works perfectly even when moving around. It seems that there was a problem with the original probe after all! So I’m a little disappointed with the response from customer service.

Thank you for your feedback. I wanted to clarify that the Gold Glide probe has been designed for maximum stimulation, but also with prolapse in mind, and is most effective when sitting in the optimum (upright) position. 1 in every 2 women aged 50 will suffer some sort of prolapse. The glide design is specifically so it could be inserted and it would slip behind a prolapse. Clinical trials have shown that a seated position for Kegel exercises - that's optimising the position, sitting upright on the sitz bones.gets the best results from this position. If you want to move around while using the Kegel8 yes we would recommend that potentially another probe, such as the Gold Comfort probe might offer some women better connectivity. As you discovered, if the connectivity fails, the intensity drops to 0 - this is a safety feature, and it means the probe is not connecting with the correct muscles in your pelvic floor. However - Vive La Difference - it proves we all have different shaped vaginas and we try to offer as many options as possible to ensure that all women can effectively strengthen their pelvic floor with a Kegel8 Pelvic Exerciser.

I definitely feel this working.

My probe ceased working after a few weeks of use. I received very quickly a free replacement and having spoken to your adviser (I think it was Lynn) and asking for her guidance, I am now 3 weeks into a 12 week course of alternating programmes that she advised me to follow. I feel much happier having been reassured and knowing I am doing the right thing, following the correct path and that I am not wasting any more time. Also, after the 12 weeks I plan to change the programme as she suggested. Watch this space.........

When I first used this probe I didn’t like it as found it difficult to turn to get in. I’m am accustomed to it now and find it more comfortable than my usual probes.
