Eligibility for VAT Relief
The government has outlined the criteria for eligibility for VAT relief, which include:
- Charities that provide their charity number. Individuals who are considered “chronically sick or disabled” as defined by:
- Having a physical or mental impairment that has a long-term and substantial impact on their ability to carry out everyday activities. Having a condition that is medically treated as a chronic sickness, such as diabetes. Being terminally ill.
It’s important to note that VAT exemption does NOT apply to individuals who are only temporarily disabled or incapacitated, such as those with a broken limb, or frail elderly persons who are otherwise able-bodied.
Proof of Disability
In order to be exempt from VAT, the government requires a simple declaration of the nature of one’s disability at the time of ordering. No proof of the disability needs to be provided to any party. It took 2 messages to even get this reply, so I'm feeling very dissatisfied with Kegel8. They have us over a barrel: I have a less than 6 months old machine costing £156.94 which I either throw out or have to keep replacing probes even more frequently than they recommend at £32.99 a time.

Thanks for your feedback. Keep at it - as your muscles get stronger they will kick back into action and they will help to retain the probe so it wont fall out. You are doing the right thing by strengthening your pelvic floor muscles, and then you'll be able to use the Kegel8 Glide probe in any position you choose. Best positions are sitting upright and standing as this engages (uses) more muscles) but I appreciate with a very weak pelvic floor it is difficult when first starting out..

I might give it another try because there was some Improvement.
Only down side is the price ( that's why 4 stars) and how long it lasts you are recommended to change it after about 60 uses this works out rather expensive so maybe they might consider lowering the price ??? Apart from that would recommend this probe above all.
I notice a higher level of charge than previous probe that came as standard with my Kegel 8.
The scoop shape seems well designed to reach the necessary parts but it is not so easy to insert it deeply as you have to use wires to do this which may not be ideal for wire fixing in long run.
It can be done but that is a small con.
The instructions about which side up one should used this probe are not clear: scoop side down is not clear and you have to read to bottom of web page to understand.
I am seeing a physiotherapist to work on my pelvic floor (I live aborad, this is quite accessible as a service, esp
after labour). She said that my PF is quite fit (definitely thanks to Kegel 8! xxx) but only the bottom half which means the 2 supporting parts of the PF need to be worked too. I suspect I was not jnserting old probe deeply enough. I think that the new Glide probe will reach the more significant part of the PF.
In conclusion, I am so far satisfied that the Glide probe is better shaped and stronger for charges than standard probe. To be seen over time how I get on.
HOWEVER it's one of the most expensive and my first one bought in December and broke in January. Bought a second one while Kegal deliberated over whether to replace/return or neither, as it was out of its warranty by a week or so. We are only in March and this one has stopped working too.
I am so careful as I really want this to work, so does it really only last a month??
